This fall we were invited by Dr. Sarah Mason of the NC Department of Agriculture to put together a display about backyard flocks in the poultry tent at the state fair. Thanks to Rick Bennett and Kirsten Reberg-Horton (as well as Samuel and Layla) for their contributions and input. Dr. Mason would like us to participate again, so we'll keep in mind photos and information that might be useful across the next year. We were glad to fill a niche that has been empty in the past at the fair, since small flock keepers have different experiences than poultry breeders and exhibitors. Hope you all had a chance to stop by.

If you attended or hosted the 2008 Tour d'Coop, you may have noticed a man with a very, very large camera. Brian Quinby is a very talented and generous photographer in High Point, and he has shared some terrific images from his Tour experiences.

Thank you for your interest in Raleigh's Tour d'Coop. The third annual Tour was a great success in 2008, raising over $3000 and 1600 pounds of food for Urban Ministries of Wake County. We are so grateful for the support of our 20 coop host families, as well as the sponsorship of Whole Foods Market. Please refer to the panel on the left of the screen for information about next year's Tour.
